Volkies host its ‘Big Brag’ ahead of Winter Games:
Volksrust High School recently held its ‘Big Brag’ in preparation for the 2022 Winter Games.
The captains and under captains of all the different sport teams were announced during the event, according to Thando Pungula of Volksrust High School.
“It was an honour to announce the first netball, girl’s hockey, boy’s hockey, and rugby teams. The athletes were beaming with pride as they represented our school. This was a memorable experience for our students. At Volkies, it’s truly one for all,” she explained.
The school spirit was palpable as students cheered on various teams and coaches.
“The EC would like to thank the school for its support of the athletes, as well as the teachers for their efforts. A special thank you to all of the coaches for their time and effort in coaching the sports teams. We hope and believe that this marks the beginning of a successful winter sports season, ” she concluded.
