Roads in the CBD now open

The water level in the Klip River remains high

This morning (March 16), motorists were happy to find that the roads in the low-lying CBD area are now open to traffic and safe to travel on.

The minor floods yesterday saw streets such as Lyell, Alexandra, King, Forbes and Queen Street completely closed and had Public Safety officials on their toes all day long.
