Police address schools to create awareness

Hersley Primary School and St Chad's Secondary School were visited

The Ladysmith SAPS Social Crime Prevention Section visited several schools recently to create crime awareness. 

Sergeant Mbatha addressed the learners, who listened attentively to what he had to say.

Topics that were addressed were bullying, drug-related offences, the reporting of crimes, and human trafficking.

Each learner received a token of appreciation from the SAPS.

The schools that were visited were Hersley Primary and St Chad’s Secondary.

“This awareness campaign serves to strengthen the bond between the youth and the police,” said SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
