Police build a partnership to fight crime in Bergville
The need for community involvement in the fight against crime was emphasised
‘Together we fight crime’ was the theme of a crime awareness campaign that was held in the Woodford area of Bergville recently.
Several role players, including the Department of Community Safety & Liaison, partnered with the police at the event.
The station commander of Bergville SAPS, Lt Colonel AH Ramlagan, and her fellow officers used the opportunity to educate the community on various aspects of crime.

The reporting of crime and the process it follows was explained. Pamphlets on several crimes were handed out.
The current police recruiting process was also discussed.
