The Bark Run Dog Walk and Vendor Fair
March 12 – St Dominics Newcastle will host its very first Bark Run at the school. This will be from 08:00 to 12:00. Residents are invited to come walk their dogs, be a sponsor or become a vendor and enjoy the day at the school. Dog walk registrations are at 08:00, at a cost of R50 per dog. Please ensure your dog is leashed and immunised. All proceeds will go towards the Newcastle SPCA. For more information and registrations, contact Gary at gary.d@curro.co.za. Oval Track race meeting
March 12 – The Newcastle Raceway will be having a race at the Oval Track. Gates open at 13:00 and racing begins at 16:30. All clubs are welcome, and Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. Entry fees are R60 for adults, R30 for children under 12, R10 per car and R30 for pensioners.
Huttenpark Primary School Golf Day
March 12 – This will take place at the Newcastle Golf Club in Barry Hertzog Park. Format of play is better ball. For more information, contact the Pro-shop on 034 318 3852. NTT Nissan Newcastle has come onboard as the school’s main sponsor of the day. Bookings to play are open, and can be made at the club. Alternatively, contact them during working hours on 034 318 7200 to book your spot. There are some awesome prizes up for grabs on the day.
