Taps run dry again in Aloe Park

Water levels are low at the Abattoir Hill Reservoir

Residents in the Aloe Park area are frustrated yet again, as they have been left stranded without any water. This means that people returning home from a hard day’s work can’t cook, clean or bathe.

Residents complain that they have school-going children who need to wash in the morning and evening.

“Our supply is cut without any notice given or any warning to store water in containers,” fumed one unhappy woman.

According to Cllr Rajkoomar (Ward 13), the Abattoir Hill Reservoir has very low water levels at the moment and therefore uThukela cannot supply the two pumps.

At the time of publishing, uThukela had not officially commented.
