Potholes around town affect motorists

The municipality say they are working on a road maintenance plan

A motorist travelling along Hyde Road yesterday (March 3) hit a huge pothole, which caused damage to his vehicle. The unhappy motorist is now up-in-arms with the municipality.

“Who is going to bear the costs of repairing my vehicle?” he fumed.

He questions why the municipality doesn’t fix the many potholes around town. “Hyde Road is not the only victim of potholes, but the entire town!”

He also mentioned the corner of Oswald Rapson and Cochrane Road, and what a pathetic state it’s in. The angry motorist says the potholes there are as big as craters.

“Last week, I narrowly escaped an accident due to these potholes,” he added.
