Mayor’s Facebook account hacked to run scam

The mayor’s Facebook account has been hacked by criminals to run a job scam through.

An appeal is being made by Alfred Duma Local Municipality to be aware of a ‘municipal jobs for cash’ scam that’s doing the rounds in town.

This has come to light after Alfred Duma Mayor Zama Sibisi’s Facebook account was hacked to facilitate this job offer scam.

The perpetrators of these scams are known to use fake / hacked Facebook accounts to advance their cause.
