Baby airlifted from Durban

The baby was flown here from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital

A medical chopper landed at Ladysmith Regional Hospital today (February 23) with a tiny baby on board.

The baby was airlifted from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Durban.

The infant is still in an incubator and was admitted at Ladysmith Regional Hospital to receive specialised medical attention.

The pilot who flew the aircraft said that due to bad weather conditions, he plans to stay in Ladysmith overnight and leave tomorrow.
