Truck petrol bombed in Pieters Industrial Area

Early this morning (February 18), a truck was petrol bombed and set alight in the Pieters Industrial Area. 

It is alleged that the driver is a foreign national. The driver was ordered to step put of the truck while a gang of unknown men stole all his belongings. The truck was then petrol bombed and went up in flames.

The motive for the attack is unknown at this stage, says police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan. 

Ladysmith detectives are investigating a case of truck-jacking and malicious damage to property.
