Head-on collision on R103 towards Harrismith

The driver of the van sustained head injuries in the crash

A van and a car were involved in a head-on collision on the R103 this afternoon (February 16).

The car was heading towards Harrismith. The driver sustained no injuries, but was in a state of shock after the accident. 

The driver of the van was rushed to hospital with head injuries that had caused swelling. 

ER24 and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Public Safety officers were on scene to direct traffic flow, as it was obstructed.
