A 44-year-old woman was knocked down by a vehicle in the Pieters Industrial Area on Wednesday (February 9).
The pedestrian was killed in the accident and Ezakheni police are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide.
The incident took place in Scarlet Street in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“The exact cause of the collision is sketchy at this stage,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.

The deceased has not yet been identified.
