DUNDEE KZN: Water woes worsen for Dannhauser residents

The humanitarian aid initiative for Dannhauser was a tremendous success, made possible by Mr Logan Govender.

Dannhauser’s ongoing water woes have the community up in arms, as they have not had water for over a week. This has led to the Dundee community rallying in support of humanitarian aid in the form of drinking water for those affected.

Dannhauser resident Nompilo Mlangeni was beside herself when she saw water being delivered to the community days after not having a drop coming out of the taps. She exclaimed, “What is happening in our community is really uncalled for! How are we to survive, especially with Covid still lingering in the air? How are we to keep clean when we don’t have water? There is one water tanker dispatched by the municipality, which is not sufficient to deliver water for the whole community. We are going to die at the hands of our leaders!”

Dundee resident Mustaqeem (Mac) Osman had the following to say: “Concerned community members are busy filling containers with water, which will be transported by private vehicles to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Dannhauser.

The humanitarian aid initiative for Dannhauser was a tremendous success, made possible by Mr Logan Govender, who alerted me to the water problem in Dannhauser.
