ESTCOURT KZN: Father and son gunned down

The pair was killed 30 meters away from their home

A father and son came under heavy gunfire and were declared dead on scene on the evening of February 3.

The pair was travelling home from work and was allegedly ambushed by gunmen in a vehicle, about 30 meters away from their home in KwaNdaba, Ntabamhlophe.

Musa Nkala who is a proportional representative councillor at Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality is a relative.

He says that Msizi Ntshangase (25) and his father (53) had completed a day of selling wood and were on their way home when they came under fire.

Both men sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were died on scene.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan said that no arrests have been made and the motive for the double murder remains a mystery.

“Ntabamhlophe Detectives are investigating two counts of murder and are following several leads. They appeal to the community to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
