Watch: Fire at Dunlop factory near Ladysmith

The cause is unknown at this stage

A fire broke out at the Sumitomo Rubber (Dunlop) factory along Helpmekaar Road today (February 7). Factory employees were seen exiting the premises as thick black smoke filled the air.

Alfred Duma municipal fire-fighters rushed out to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

According to Public Safety officials, they had to send out two fire engines due to the magnitude of the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
