2 trucks involved in crash near Colenso

The road was closed until 'recovery' operations had been carried out

Two trucks were involved in a crash yesterday evening (February 2) near Colenso.

There were two people in one of the trucks, and five in the other.

The sole passenger in the first truck was injured and rushed to hospital. The driver was unharmed.

No one in the second truck was hurt.

One of the trucks veered off the road into a bushy area. The other, which remained on the roadway, was from Estcourt and was transporting polish and water. The polish spilled all over the road.

Colenso SAPS and RTI responded to the scene, as well as towing services from Estcourt and Ladysmith. The road was closed until the truck that went off the road was ‘recovered’.
