ESTCOURT KZN: Accolades for top performing Estcourt High learners

Educators, learners, guests, parents, guardians and well-wishers joined the school in acknowledging its top performing learners for the 2021 academic year

There was a celebratory mood at Estcourt High School (EHS) when the 2021 prize giving ceremony was held this morning (January 28).

Educators, learners, guests, parents, guardians and well-wishers joined the school in acknowledging its top performing learners for the 2021 academic year.

Principal Mr Diedrick said that the school’s vision and mission of excellence was the prime reason for the gathering and congratulated all the learners on their achievements.

Guest speaker Dr Leanne Stakes, who is a former EHS learner, motivated all learners to continue pursuing their dream, despite their current circumstances and to carry the school’s name with pride as they go forward in their lives.

Samukelo Lamula was awarded the prestigious Dux award. Hearty applause and cheers filled the hall as the awardees received their certificates and trophies.

Mr Rodney Smith, a former principal and circuit manager, was honoured with a portrait, which will be placed alongside past principals that have led the school with distinction.
