Ladysmith matrics excited about receiving their results

KZN had a 76.8% pass rate

The matrics of 2021 were full of excitement as they got their results last night.

The results were published, with many of last year’s Grade 12s eager to get their hands on a newspaper late last night (January 20) or during the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Speaking to some of the 2021 matrics at Ladysmith High School (LHS), they said that, “We are overjoyed by our results and are now ready to take on university this year.”

The Top Achievers awards ceremony is being held in Estcourt today (January 21) for the top-performing matriculants from the Uthukela District.

The ‘Class of 2021’ achieved a national pass rate of 76.4%, which is an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to 2020. KZN had a 76.8% pass rate.

Well done, matrics, on your achievements and good luck for the future!
