This is the first time the event has taken place in the area, and children living nearby participated. It was said that the aim of such an event was to keep children busy and off the streets during the holidays, and also to create festive memories. Covid-19 protocols were observed and vaccination was done as a major part of the programme. Idlebe clinic staff conducted the vaccinations while the event was underway indoors.

The event was financed by Mrs Kerryne Powell and ActionSA volunteers, led by Siyanqoba Sibiya (Zululand Region ActionSA co-ordinator).

“Thank you to everyone who participated, from organising up to the last day. We hope for an even bigger event come December 2022.”
