Residents wake up to dry taps again

Power has been restored at the Ezakheni Water Treatment Works and they are now preparing to restart the plant operations

This morning (January 15), residents once again woke up to dry taps.

Commenting on the situation, uThukela District Municipality said they experienced power failure at the Ezakheni Water Treatment Works last night (January 14), thus reversing all pumping processes. As a result, the communities of Ezakheni, Acaciavale, parts of Steadville and surrounding areas are sitting without water at the moment.
