DUNDEE KZN: Stolen cattle found on Christmas Day

The detectives stopped the suspicious-looking vehicle and the occupants could not produce the needed documentation.

Stock Theft Unit officers recovered stolen livestock on Christmas Day at Olendale Farm, located on the Nyanyadu road.
The investigating officers, Detective Warrant Officer Stephen Brown and Sergeant Thulasizwe Kunene from the Glencoe Stock Theft Unit, were carrying out normal routine checks when they came across a white bakkie transporting two head of cattle on a trailer.
The detectives stopped the suspicious-looking vehicle and the occupants could not produce the needed documentation.
The three men were taken to Dundee police station for questioning, where they were later arrested and charged for possession of stolen property.
The three suspects appeared in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court on Monday, January 3, and were released on R1000 bail each.
The case has been remanded to February 14 for further investigation.
