Dams overflow as rain continues to fall

Spioenkop Dam is on 100.31%

Rain has been bucketing down in the region, bringing precious water to the rivers and dams.

Continuous rain over the past few weeks has taken dam levels in the Ladysmith area to the ‘overflowing’ mark.

Spioenkop Dam is on a whopping 100.31%. Water has been seen flowing over the dam wall for the last few weeks as rain continues to fall.

Wagendrift and Sterkfontein dams are also above the 100% mark, on 102.46% and 100.8% respectively.

Woodstock Dam is on 95.93% and if the rain carries on, this dam is also likely to reach 100% soon.
