Critically injured patient airlifted from Ladysmith to Pietermaritzburg

The patient was transported by an ambulance from the hospital and thereafter put into the chopper

A critically injured man was airlifted this afternoon (December 10) from Ladysmith to Pietermaritzburg.

The man, who had sustained a stab wound, was taken from Ladysmith Regional Hospital to Grey’s Hospital.

Eduan Roelofse, the pilot from Black Eagle Aviation, said they flew in from Durban to transport the patient.

The patient was transported by an ambulance from the hospital and thereafter put into the chopper.

Nurses from the hospital gathered at the helipad to see what was going on.
