The highly anticipated inauguration of the Endumeni Council has been adjourned after political parties failed to produce official letters from their head office, electing an authorised representative.
Each party was asked to produce a letter, on an official part letterhead, stating who their authorised representative, was. The authorised representative would then, on behalf of the party, nominate who would make up the EXCO on behalf of the party.
Despite being given notice of this, none of the parties did this.
The Municipal Manager then adjourned the meeting till 2pm, to allow for these letters to be obtained.
