VRYHEID KZN: Local cellphone store robbed at gunpoint

No one was injured in the robbery

Just before 12:00 today (November 15), three men robbed a well-known cellphone shop in the Pick n Pay centre. The suspects, two of whom had firearms, forced the four employees into the toilet, where they were locked up. The robbers cut open the safe and stole cellphones and cash. The manager of the store kicked a hole through the toilet door and the employees managed to escape, sounding the alarm for assistance. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspects fled the scene in a white SUV (with no number plates) and a small delivery bakkie.
