Lifestyle Market continues despite heavy rains

The Arbor Park Lifestyle Christmas Market is scheduled to take place at the Arbor Park sports grounds on December 16.

The Arbor Park Lifestyle Market continued on November 6, despite a torrential downpour and heavy rains.

Blustery wind followed by a sudden cloudburst had stall holders physically holding down their gazebos to avoid them flying away.

While most stalls-holders packed up, a few ‘die-hards’ remained unperturbed by the unfavourable weather conditions and continued to sell their ware for as long as possible.

These included a stall selling boerewors rolls and another selling decadently delicious locally roasted coffee.

Organiser, Tara Wood, said it was heart-warming to see how vendors came together to protect each other’s property.

“Everyone took care of their neighbour best they could. We are blessed to have such a caring community,” said Wood.

At this event, residents can expect to see all the vendors they missed out on this last weekend, and more.
