DUNDEE KZN: Ryan and Tishen set cricket league alight

Ryan Naicker and Tishen Narothum set alight the cricket league last week as the pair put on a 120 run opening wicket partnership.

T20 Night League
Kalsel vs Predators – Kalsel won by 159 runs
Kalsel batted first and thanks to the 120 run partnership between the openers, they scored 211 from their 20 overs.
Tishen top scored with 54 and Ryan also impressed with his 51. During their chase, Predators were bowled out for only 52. A Sukram was the only person to score double figures with his 18. Tishen then followed up his impressive batting display by taking 3 wickets for 20 runs while TC Maharaj also was in destructive form taking 4 wickets for 11 runs.

Ace Eagles vs Paki Lions – Ace Eagles won by 23 runs
Ace Eagles batted first and made 150/4 from their 20 overs. Waheed Adam scored 61 from 55 and Udien Govender made 58 not out from 47 balls. Adeel Ahmed took 2/23 from his 4 overs for Paki Lions.
In reply, Paki Lions could only make 127 from their 20 overs. Adeel Ahmed top scored with 38 while Qasim Ali chipped in with 24. Abdullah Rehman took 2 wickets for 23 runs as each of the Ace Eagles bowlers showed great discipline in defending the score.

Tigers vs Jihadees – Jihadees won by 3 wickets
Tigers batted first and made 135. Udeshin Naidoo and Asheel Kali both top scored with 33. Labeeb Adams took 2/35 for Jihadees. In reply, Jihadees won with 3 wickets to spare and 3 balls to spare. Labeeb Adams top scored with 54 and Iqbal Khan chipped in with 38. Vasu Naicker took 3/24 and Shaun Grinyer took 2/28 as Tigers almost defended the total.

Saturday 30 Over League
Rain sadly affected both Saturday games. Farmers vs Tigers and Gujrat Lions vs Accounting Solutions were both drawn after rain halted play.
