Soccer legends come to town ahead of MTN 8 football clash

Sibusiso Zuma and Lucky Lekgwathi were in Ladysmith as part of the annual roadshow they go on every year before the final

Today (October 31), the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban will see a blockbuster football game being played. Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns will lock horns in the MTN 8 final.

To herald the occasion, two soccer legends in the form of Sibusiso Zuma and Lucky Lekgwathi were in Ladysmith on Monday (October 25) as part of the annual roadshow they go on every year before the final.

Zuma is a former South African professional footballer who played as a forward or midfielder. He also played for FC Copenhagen, Arminia Bielefeld, Nordsjælland and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Lekgwathi is a retired South African defender who played for Orlando Pirates. He represented South Africa at the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Both these football legends are looking forward to today’s game and hope that it will be a ‘cracker of a match’.

Having come from Johannesburg, they left Ladysmith for Pietermaritzburg and are in Durban for the final today.
