SAPS K9 Unit tracks stolen vehicles
The vehicles' identification numbers had been tampered with
The Ladysmith SAPS K9 Unit held a tactical operation in the Sun Valley area in Weenen on Wednesday (October 27). During the operation, two suspects evaded arrest.
Abandoned
The suspects abandoned their vehicles while fleeing from K9 Unit officers.
Police found that the suspects had tampered with the vehicles’ identification numbers.
Impounded vehicles
They impounded both vehicles for further investigation.
Uthukela District Crime Intelligence operatives provided the information that led to the successful operation.
