DUNDEE KZN: Sky-high success for Keegan

Keegan Naicker feels like he’s floating on ‘cloud 9’ following his recent success at a show ‘n shine competition in Newcastle, but it’s easy to feel that way when you drive a car named Skyylar.

Keegan, a proud Dundee boy, recently made waves in Newcastle at the Devland Imphuphu Family Day with his car, nicknamed Skyy.

The 2011 Polo Vivo finished second in the ‘Show and Shine’ category and secured first place for ‘Low Limbo’.
Being the proud owner of Skyy for 10 years now, Keegan has put in a lot of time and effort to ensure that she’s at the top of her game. So much so that Skyy was the first car in Dundee to have air suspension.

Having fallen in love with cars from a young age, after seeing how ‘smart’ his cousin Vernen’s Jetta 3 was, Keegan always wanted to have his own vehicle that he could one day be proud of.

But unlike many youngsters, Keegan didn’t care about how fast the car would go.
“I’m not one for racing. I like it low and slow, and I’m all about the looks and styling.
“As a car enthusiast, there is still a lot more I want to do. The mods never stop,” he explains.

Following his recent success, Keegan is now looking forward to the next outing with Skyy, namely Africa’s biggest VW show called the VW Camp Festival.

“As a Dundee lad, I am very excited to be representing the area in one of Africa’s biggest shows for all things VW.”

Keegan thanks his wife for standing by him in getting the car to where it is today, as well as his SKYY Crew for their support, and God for blessing him.

With a bright future ahead of him and a car turning heads wherever he goes, there’s no doubt that the ‘Skyy’ is indeed the limit for Keegan as he continues to reach new heights.
