There were some brilliant individual batting performances during the cricket league games last week, as Accounting Solutions, Paki Lions, Jihadees, Farmers and Kalsel all picked up good victories.

T20 Night League:
Accounting Solutions vs Predators – Accounting Solutions won by 62 runs
Accounting Solutions batted first and despite losing an early wicket, still amassed 176/6 from their 20 overs.
Rishi Durgadin played a captain’s knock, scoring 51 off 48 balls, while Shervive Tedpaul top-scored with 53 off 38 balls. Tylen Kemp was the best bowler for Predators, taking three wickets for 27 runs, while Malcolm Naidoo took two for 26. In reply, Predators could only manage 114 from their 20 overs.
Only Sephelele Zungu made some dent in the total with the bat, scoring an impressive 60 runs. Basheer Abdool and Nikesh Dookhi both took two wickets apiece as Accounting Solutions cruised to victory.

Paki Lions vs Molls – Paki Lions won by 67 runs
Paki Lions batted first and only lost two wickets as they reached 161 in 20 overs. Kamran Hanif led the charge, scoring 82 from 67 balls. Rai Umar Nawaz also chipped in with a handy 32 from 27 balls. Molls were 37/5 when bad light stopped play. Ahsan Riaz and Irfan Kanwal took two wickets apiece as Paki Lions won on the DL Method.

Farmers vs Ace Eagles – Farmers won by six wickets
Ace Eagles batted first and scored 123/2 from their 20 overs. Ramil Juggan and Ahmed Kosadia top-scored with 45 runs each. Francois Le Grange and Roger Flanagan took the wickets for Farmers. In reply, Farmers chased down the target in 17 overs, losing only four wickets in the process. Jonathan Davies led the charge with an impressive 58 from only 33 balls.
Ramil Juggan, Ashraf Babar and Mohamed Bobat took the wickets for Ace Eagles but it wasn’t enough to stop Farmers from picking up victory.

Saturday 30-Over League:
Jihadees vs Gujrat Lions – Jihadees won by 39 runs
Jihadees batted first and scored an impressive 195/8 from their allotted overs. Labeeb Adams top-scored with 50, while Mujaheed Abdullah (33) and Yusuf Kikia (34) both helped pile on the runs.
Saeed Bhula took 2/37 and Usman Zafar 2/51 for Gujrat Lions. Both Saeed’s wickets were ‘caught and bowled’ dismissals.
In reply, Gujrat Lions were bowled out for 156, as the bottom order collapsed. Waqas Ahmed top-scored with 51 from 35 balls, and Usman Zafar chipped in with 36.
Saleh Rajah was chief destroyer with the ball, taking 4/31 from four overs as Jihadees picked up a good win.

Tigers vs Kalsel – Kalsel won by five wickets
Batting first, Tigers made 127 thanks in part to Kavir Bhartu’s 38.
Rishay Harilal finished with a ‘fiver’ for Kalsel, taking 5/30, while Tishen Narothum took 3/26 and Logan Govender 2/21.
In reply, Kalsel chased down the total for the loss of only five wickets.
Ryan Naicker was ever-impressive as he led the charge with a brilliant 58.
Only Vasu Naicker looked threatening with the ball, taking two wickets in one over for Tigers.
He finished with figures of 2/8, but the bowlers couldn’t contain the Kalsel run chase.
