DUNDEE KZN: SAPO urges grant recipients to wait for SMS

The grant will not be available if people try to collect it before a notification SMS has been sent

The South African Post Office (SAPO) has urged recipients of the R350 Social Relief of Distress Grant to wait for an SMS before lining up to queue for it.

Currently recipients can collect the grant at their nearest Pick ‘n Pay, Boxer Supermarket or Post Office. Those opting to receive it via cash send or a bank account will still recieve it via the bank they chose.

However, those opting to recieve it at a supermarket or Post Office are urged to wait for an SMS to say that the grant is available.

The grant will not be available if people try to collect it before a notification SMS has been sent.

They also need to have their cell phones and identity documents with them.
