Watch: Death toll rises in N3 bus crash

The bus was on its way from Durban to Johannesburg when the driver allegedly lost control

The death toll in the Eldo Coaches bus accident that happened yesterday (October 12) has increased to 10.

Officials on scene initially confirmed nine deaths on scene, but this morning (October 13), police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan confirmed the death of a 10th person who passed away in hospital.

The bus was on its way from Durban to Johannesburg when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle.

The accident took place on the N3 northbound just before the Bergville off-ramp, near the Tugela River, about 40km from Ladysmith.
