Today (October 8), the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) hosted an event at the Farmers Hall, where parties signed the IEC Code of Conduct and the Commission outlined its state of readiness for the Local Government Elections next month.
SAPS officials also explained safety plans to ensure the elections run smoothly and without incident.
