Ladysmith KZN: 1 dead in 3-vehicle collision near AACL

Traffic flow was disrupted while clean-up operations were taking place

Three vehicles were involved in a deadly collision this afternoon (October 8) near the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) premises on the N11.

It is believed that the owner of a BMW had brought the brand-new vehicle to Ladysmith for a potential buyer to purchase and was on his way back to Newcastle when the head-on collision took place.

One of the drivers involved in the crash sadly lost his life and has not yet been identified.

Speaking to the two drivers who survived, they said they are shaken up after the incident and are lucky to be alive.

Public Safety, police and ambulance services responded to the scene.

Traffic flow was disrupted while the authorities carried out an investigation into the cause of the collision.
