Ladysmith experienced a massive power outage last night (September 30) amid an electrical storm. Electricity was on again in some areas before 23:00.

Danskraal, Limit Hill, Model Kloof and parts of Hyde Park still do not have power this morning (October 1).

It is believed that there are two cable faults and that electricians are currently working on the problem.

Residents are urged to be patient and can expect their lights to come back on by the end of the day.
