Ladysmith KZN: Veteran soccer players clash on the field

The games were held at the Kandahar Avenue Sports Ground

Last Sunday (September 12), the soccer veterans of Ladysmith took part in heated matches. The teams were made up of colleagues who work together and also those who used to play more seriously when they were younger. The games were played at the Kandahar Avenue Sports Ground.

The sun beat down mercilessly on the ‘oldies’, resulting in more than just a few water breaks on the day.

With eased Covid-19 restrictions, games of this nature are being hosted more regularly now to encourage people to stay healthy. Obviously, soccer fanatics don’t need a reason to get out onto the field and play the game they love. This also serves as great practice, since the official season has not started yet.
