DUNDEE KZN: Iconic police officer fondly remembered
A man of principles who always believed in doing what was right, he never backed down from a challenge
A dedicated police officer, loving family man and avid sportsman… That’s how Aveen Aneelprakash Jagath will always be remembered.
Born and raised in Dundee, Warrant Officer Jagath served the South African Police Service (SAPS) for 30 years.
He sadly passed away in July this year.
A man of principles who always believed in doing what was right, he never backed down from a challenge and was always willing to help where he could. While he will always be remembered as a dedicated police officer, W/O Jagath was also an avid sports player who represented the SAPS internationally for darts.
As a member of Docrats Angling Club, he won countless awards in fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Aroona, and two daughters, Keara and Arista.
“He will forever be loved and missed by all of us,” his family said.
