Ladysmith KZN: Pedestrian knocked down by van

A pedestrian was knocked down by a van at the intersection of Murchison and Princess Street this morning (September 10). 

Emergency personnel and Public Safety responded to the scene.

The female pedestrian was seen inside an ambulance, receiving medical attention. She was injured and in tears as she lay on the stretcher in pain. 

Other pedestrians said the accident happened in the blink of an eye; one moment the woman was walking along and then suddenly she was lying in the road.

Motorists slowed down or stopped to see what had happened.
