Ladysmith KZN: La Verna reaches out to ‘special needs’ school in Steadville

"These hampers are going to make a huge difference in the lives of our learners" - school principal

La Verna Private Hospital was involved in an outreach programme at Inkanyezi School recently, in which they donated food hampers to the learners. According to the hospital’s stakeholder relations manager, Phelo Thwala, they hand-picked this school because it caters for learners with ‘special needs’.

The hospital wished to show appreciation to the educators for all their hard work and dedication, knowing how difficult it is to teach a child with disabilities.

School principal Mrs BS Mbuyisa said, “I am forever grateful to the hospital for their kind generosity. These hampers are going to make a huge difference in the lives of our learners.”

The learners were all happy and excited as they received buckets filled with delicious eats and treats.
