Ladysmith KZN: Great outing for local fishing club

‘Angler of the Day’ went to Niren Mahadeo, with Lloyd Jugdawooh catching the biggest fish

Klip River Angling Club held a club outing on Sunday (August 29) at Spioenkop Dam, with team members competing for the top spots on the day.

Eight anglers from the club braved the cold weather and difficult water conditions, and were at the dam just in time to see the sun rise to warm up the water.

The guys managed to land a few fish on the day, but the ‘giant ones’ that are known to lurk in the murky depths were elusive.

The fishermen had a great day out though, because it was all about fun and good times amid the competitive angling.

They were all kitted out in their new fishing attire and the club would like to thank their sponsors for assisting them in getting their matching kit.
