DUNDEE KZN: Welcome boost to encourage learning and teaching

Amakhemfundo Primary principal S Magubane thanked Spar for the wonderful gesture and support

Learning was given a boost at Amakhemfundo Primary School in Sithembile on Friday, thanks to Shaun Hendricks and his team from Charlies SuperSpar.

The 120 Grade 7 students were provided with lunch and a short presentation on the importance of education.

Shaun also announced that Charlies SuperSpar will give the top Grade 7 student a R1000 gift voucher at the end of the year, plus R1000 in cash to assist the learner’s family come year-end.

Amakhemfundo Primary principal S Magubane thanked Spar for the ‘wonderful gesture and support’. He also thanked head of department ND Ndlovu for helping with the organising of the day.

The Grade 7 learners reacted excitedly and all hope to do well at the end of the year to win this fabulous prize.

The Kids’ Covid-19 mini-newspaper, produced by the Courier, was also handed out to learners by representative Kevin Ross.

The eight-page supplement includes lots of information all children need to know to ensure that they keep safe during the pandemic. The effort was widely supported by loyal advertisers.
