GLENCOE KZN: Trio of top achievers bring honour to Sarel

"Ons is baie trots op jou!"

André Niemann (Grade 11) and Revashan Kali (2021 Sarel Cilliers head boy) received excellent news last week.
Both students progressed to the second round of the Mathematics Olympiad, writing at the end of last term.
Their results in the second round placed them among the top Maths students in the province; no mean feat in a very challenging Olympiad which eliminates those learners who cannot solve mathematical problems quickly and in limited time. The school is very proud of their achievement and wishes them even greater success in the continuing rounds.
Baie geluk aan Dian Bierbaum in Graad 10A. Sarel Cilliers se beste orator het sewende plek behaal in die ATKV-redenaarskompetisie in KwaZulu-Natal.
Ons is baie trots op jou! Dian performed extremely well to achieve such a great result in a very competitive field of top orators and we are sure he will continue to do well in future competitions.
The control tests have now been completed. Students are currently busy with the work required for Term 3 and the matrics are preparing for the trial exams, with extra lessons on Saturday as part of their programme.
The school urges parents and guardians to be vigilant and not send children to school if they are displaying any of the Covid-19 symptoms. All Covid-19 protocols are being strictly followed at Sarel Cilliers, but we can only stay safe if everyone co-operates.

Revashan Kali excelled in the Maths Olympiad.
