Little Azhar Hoosen Khan, who is just 11 years old, is a skateboarding fanatic who loves ‘ripping it up’ on his board. Azhar says that his passion for skateboarding grew when he saw videos on YouTube.
Speaking to Azhar’s father, he says that his son is very talented when it comes to doing tricks and flips…
He always has to take his son to Durban to the skate park on the beach, as there isn’t a skate park here in Ladysmith.
Some of the many tricks Azhar can do are: 360 flips, flip kicks and tik taks. You can bet that he is practicing many other ones and honing them to perfection as we speak.

Azhar says ‘it’s so smooth when I glide through the air and I feel free as a bird when I’m on my skateboard’.
