NEWCASTLE KZN: Dirt track racers speed up for Oval Track clash

The second leg of the 2021 4Province Dirt Showdown will be hosted in Newcastle on August 28.

Motorsport racers from four provinces will compete next weekend for the title of ‘best of the best’.

Zaakira Khan, secretary of the Newcastle Oval Track, confirmed the second leg of the 2021 4Province Dirt Showdown will be hosted at the Newcastle raceway next Saturday (August 28). Petrol-heads can expect a day full to the brim with excitement and entertainment.

“Drivers from Kroonstad Raceway, Platinum Raceway in Rustenburg, Loskop Raceway, Mid City Speedway, and our local Newcastle competitors will compete to see who is the best of the best.”

Gates will open from 10:00 – a motorcycle stunt riding display begins at 14:00 and the races set off from 15:30. All Covid-19 guidelines will be followed and residents are urged to adhere to these regulations.
