Ladysmith KZN: Lucky escape for occupants as bakkies collide on N11

A front wheel allegedly came off, causing the driver to lose control

Two bakkies collided today (August 17) along the N11 after one of the drivers allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The collision took place on the railway bridge after the D45 (travelling towards Newcastle).

A front wheel of the bakkie headed towards Ladysmith allegedly came off and the vehicle veered off the roadway, hitting the roadside barrier.

A double-cab bakkie travelling in the opposite direction was hit in the process..

No one was injured in the crash.

Police responded to the scene.
