Ladysmith KZN: Water levels still good in nearby dams

Spioenkop Dam is now on 97.15%

Even though winter has brought with it dry weather conditions, dam levels in the Ladysmith area remain high. All the nearby dams are still over 80%, showing just how good the rainfall was before winter.

The rain that fell in the summer months kept the dams at near full capacity.

Here are the latest levels in dams surrounding Ladysmith: Spioenkop is on 97.15%, with Wagendrift on 96.97% and Woodstock on 82.39%.

The lowest dam in the KZN region is Hazelmere on 40.58%. Driel Barrage, on the opposite end of the spectrum, is on a whopping 110.2%.

Bear in mind that spring is fast approaching, with the rainy season hot on its heels.
