VRYHEID KZN: New equipment available at AbaQulusi Private Hospital

The hospital says that the whole aim or drive of the company is to bring healthcare to the people, as this will be less time-consuming and more convenient to patients and doctors alike.

AbaQulusi Private Hospital has announced that X-ray machines are available and working perfectly at the facility. CT (computerised tomography) scan and Sonar equipment is also accessible.

The hospital says that the whole aim or drive of the company is to bring healthcare to the people, as this will be less time-consuming and more convenient to patients and doctors alike. Tia Ellis, who is the hospital manager, mentioned that the above-mentioned machines are available at the hospital, so now patients do not have to travel out-of-town to the hospital in Newcastle, for example, just for a CT scan. This will cut costs, provide quality images and make it easy to determine what is wrong with the patient.

Patients who qualify are those who have Medical Aid, a Hospital Plan and also Road Accident Fund patients. Bear in mind that the price of a CT scan is around R4000. Discounted price hours are from 22:00 to 05:00.

“We are here to help and also encourage people to get Medical Aid and a Hospital Plan,” is the message from the hospital.
