DUNDEE KZN: Its going to be a dark, cold Friday

The postponed Dundee July is scheduled for Saturday - albeit a scaled down version

Its going to be a cold and dark Friday in Dundee.

The weatherman predicts the temperature to plummet to 7 degrees as a cold front rips through from the Cape. The cold will be compounded by a planned power outage as Eskom undertakes maintenance work in Dundee and Sibongile.

Endumeni Municipality announced today that the power in Dundee and Sibongile will be out from 8am to 4pm on Friday, August 13.

With the scaled down Dundee July planned for Saturday, August 14, the weather is also not playing the game. A maximum of just 11 degrees with light rain is forecast. Endumeni Municipality says there will be similar planned outage in Glencoe on September 2 from 8am to 4pm.

“It is crucial that Eskom conducts these maintenance practices to prevent unplanned maintenance and breakdowns. “Endumeni Municipality wishes to apologize for the inconvenience, ” the statement read.
