A mother and daughter sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to a Pietermaritzburg hospital after a collision on the N3 southbound near Ultra City earlier this evening (August 6).
On scene reports indicate that a truck collided with the car the family members were travelling in, which then caused a secondary collision with a combi.
Both vehicles veered off the road and onto the center median.
No other injuries were reported.
The wrecked vehicle is off the roadway but there is currently a large backlog of traffic meters away from the scene.
